Broadleaf weeds can be a real eye-sore in the lawn. Their large leaves stick out like a sore thumb and they can spread like wildfire (like dandelions). But never fear! There are a number of great products to help control them in your lawn!
Method #1
If you're on a fertilizer program (like one of the Scotts programs), then the step you put down this month will contain a broadleaf weed killer. Just make sure to apply it to wet grass. Either water your lawn before you apply it, or do it early in the morning before the dew dries off.
Method #2
If you're using our MaxLawn fertilizer or any other fertilizer that doesn't have a weed killer in it, then you'll want to use a weed killer. Products like Ortho Weed B Gon and Ferti-lome's Weed-Out work really well. You just hook them up to the hose to treat your whole lawn in a matter of minutes. We also have products available in concentrate or ready to spray trigger sprayers. Stop in and talk to one of our lawn experts to decide which product will work best for you.
